This course will first walk you through many technical aspects to get you and your favorite drumming software ready for programming.
You’ll learn the difference between programming in a key editor and a drum editor, and how to effectively structure your drum map and key commands.
Individual lessons cover most commonly used VSTs and their interface, sounds, workflow, and how to assign individual outputs. After that, you’ll learn how to combine different VSTs to get the sound you want, and we’ll even cover some mixing techniques. If you have live drums and want to enhance them with a few samples, we’ll help you out too!
The second half of the course takes you to the grid. NOW we program! We even have a drummer on a real kit in the room so you can see the movements and technique on a real kit.
